Week 9 Less S-T-R-E-S-S, Adoption vs Abortion, Grades, Conversation Fun
This week things should feel a bit calmer, we'll be having conversation groups on Tuesday, getting back into the Harbinger, continuing listening activities and prepping for the next Writing Exam (next Thursday).
Here I would like to see discussion about the next exam topic.
This is only my opinion, hopefully it will help you to begin the discussion here:
Premartial sex seems to be something considered almost "normal" in this day and age, but along with it comes consequences, personally I believe abortion is murder and there is no "real" reason for this practice.
In cases of rape when a woman gets pregnant (less than 1% of rape victims get pregnant) or incest where a family member fathers a child with a young woman in their family the child should be "allowed" life while the guilty male should be convicted as the pervert that he is and the young woman needs to be offered all help available within the society--if she cannot raise or love a child she has borne then that child should be offered within the adoption system.
In cases of "accidental" pregnancy the young woman must take responsability for her actions. We, as women are powerful creatures and we have the ability to bear and raise children all by ourselves when necessary. Abortion is simply an easy escape from taking responsability for our actions.
Well, I´m the first one, I believe that this topic is one of the sensitive and difficult topics of the life. Every persons will have an opinion different from ours. It will depends of many factors like education, religion, knowledge, experiences, etc. And also it depends from the perspective in which you see it and I see it from the ethical and moral perspective and from what my parents have taught me and I don´t approve the death of innocent babies who do not know not what is happening around it; I believe that other alternatives exist and if a person dosen´t want to have their baby, they can look for a way of giving him/her a family that wants him/her. : )
ReplyDeleteAgree with you Carmen, this topic is very sensitive, involves many important facts and decisions. And have many perspectives and opinions, and this ideas are different depending each person.

My posture is like a woman. Actually sex is a common action in couples of all ages.
I think that it is the problem, have sex without information or good education at early age, that's why young girls get accidental pregnancy. For every action there is a reaction.
A pregnancy is one of the most complicated thing for a woman, because you don't know how to face it even you have a boyfriend or husband. The atmosphere is a important thing too, If your parents will support and help you, if you continue study after the baby born.
The abortion is the most dangerous option, it could works but after that, the girl could depressed, or have psychological problems.
And the adoption is a complicated potion but functional option, I think this is better. The baby is not guilty and he or she could have a better lifestyle.
This is my opinion!
Hi Gaby, yes, agree with you, most couples are not aware bout the impact of their acts, also they do not have good information about materials to do not get pregnant and of course for every action there is a reaction.
DeleteJimena I disagree with you. I believe that if we know the ways of how to protect and if the men don't want use preservative, we, the girls have to do something. There are many posibilities to don't be pregnant at this age.
DeleteHi everyone, well, I believe that to have sex is the most normal of the world, the problem is when the couples don´t take care themselves or don´t know to use the contraceptive methods and there are contraceptive methods for men and women. And if you want to have sex, you must to take care and to avoid an early pregnant because the obligations that comes after that isn´t the samen that the one single person. The responsabily is high and you must accept the concequences. :)

DeleteWell, as Cindy says, nowadays is very common see young ladies with an early pregnancy. And always the young couples goes with the easy way: abortion. But personally, I think the young couples need to accept their acts and take aware about their desitions, maybe could be hard, but if the couples decided to have sex, they have to accept the impact of their actions. Abortion is not an option, in my perspective (as a woman), baby have right to live. Adoption is the best option, because both parts win something: parents are aware about their actions and reflect on their future, and the baby lives safe, also mother's health is not at risk.

DeleteIn my opinion and according to what Cindy said, I can say that abortion is an issue relating to kill, but which we know has many aspects behind, topics such as religion, law, culture, responsailidad, among others. But today we live in a very serious social issue education, from which are derived all issues related.

DeleteI agree with Cindy, It's not fair that babies couldn't born just because the mother doesn't want to take responsibility. I believe that is better if the parents don't want to take care of their baby, they'll give in adoption. Exist many people who want to adopt a child. And is better than abortion, because abortion is a murder. Even if it's depends of culture and religion, abortion is a cruel way to escape from taking responsability.

ReplyDeleteI think the same that the majority here, the abortion is not a solution, because, is like to kill someone, and also exist proofs that comprobe that a baby feels pain in the moment of the abortion is happening. Every person needs to take ther responsability for their actions.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking a lot about the topic and every time I think I have different opinions, the thing is, that for me it would be the hardest decision, because it's not easy to kill an unborn child, but it's not easy to let it to somebody else either, I know that in my essay I would not going to be able to be in the middle or with not opinion, but here I think I prefer to take a neutral position, I think both have pros and cons so for now I have no opinion about that

ReplyDeleteI’m in favor to abort, but not in all ways, because, there are many girls to do this more than once and this is not a play. There are many possibilities to die. If we decide to abort, we should go to the doctor, and do it in a clinic in confidence. There are the minim that we must do.
Yes I think it must be so important for women, there are other ways for not beeing pregnant. You are agree with abortion, but not in allcases. Yes there are many girls that do this more tan once and of course it is not a play. Yes if we decide on abortion,we should go to a doctor, and do it in a confidence Clinic. This is the mÃnimum that we can do.
DeleteWell I think abortion is a hard measure for a woman, we need to save the product in most of the cases because the product is a baby that is in risk of dying but I think there are some specific cases in where it would be permitted but I think we should think it very seriously because it is a life, if we don´t want to have or mantain that baby we could give it in abortion, Ok.

I think abortion, as Cindy said, it´s synonym of murder; it should be an option only when the woman´s life is in danger.
ReplyDeleteI have strong feelings about abortion I do not like it but if a woman wants to do it I think is better if she does it, It's her body and only she can dicide. I think is really better an abortion than a little baby without love. I personality would like to have a baby , I will consider adoption like a good way to get it. Just hope to be a good father C:0
